The model nobody can identify. The site built to try it.
Ox Alpha is a stealth reasoning model that appeared in August 2026 with no lab attached to its name. oxalpha.com is an independent, free, no-login way to chat with it while it's still in stealth.
What Ox Alpha is.
A reasoning model designed for coding, sustained agentic work, and production workloads — suited to long-horizon software engineering, complex reasoning, and workflows that combine text with visual context.
What oxalpha.com is.
A clean chat interface in front of the model — and nothing more. No account, no subscription, no waitlist.
Independent
oxalpha.com is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by whoever built the model. We're enthusiasts who wanted a fast, free way to use it — and figured you might too.
Free while in stealth
Stealth models are typically free to use while their creators gather feedback. We pass that straight through: open the site, start chatting, no card required.
Private by default
We don't ask for personal information and don't store your conversations on our servers. Messages are processed by the upstream model API to generate a reply — so treat it like any AI service and keep secrets out of it.
Why is it in stealth?
Frontier labs sometimes release a model anonymously before its official launch. The idea is simple: real-world usage is the best benchmark. Strip away the brand and the expectations, and you find out how the model actually performs on the problems people bring to it.
Ox Alpha showed up that way. Its reasoning style, enormous context window, and strength on agentic coding tasks set off a wave of speculation about which lab is behind it — and the honest answer is that nobody outside that lab knows. We're not going to pretend otherwise.
What we can offer is the model itself. Give it something hard and judge for yourself.
Ox Alpha appears
A stealth reasoning model with a 1M-token context window becomes available, with no announcement and no named creator.
The speculation starts
Developers run it on coding and agentic workloads; it climbs usage charts and the guessing game about its origin begins.
